Quickstart

1. Sign in to the console

Open the console and sign in with Google or GitHub. The first time, create an organisation; you become its owner.

2. Create a filesystem

In Filesystems, enter a name and choose Create filesystem. Note its id (for example k5q2ztr4mvd7wn3xa6jhebcyfu); you mount filesystems by id.

3. Sign in the CLI

fsit login

Set FSIT_API_URL first if your fsit API is not at the default http://localhost:8000. The CLI prints a link to /app/device and a short code. Open the link, check that the code on the page matches the one in your terminal, then choose Approve.

4. Mount it

mkdir -p ~/work
fsit mount k5q2ztr4mvd7wn3xa6jhebcyfu ~/work

fsit mount needs FUSE and the SeaweedFS weed binary (4.48) on PATH, and stays in the foreground while the filesystem is mounted. In another terminal, ~/work is now the filesystem. Add --ro to mount read-only. Owners and admins can mount every filesystem in their organisation read-write; members mount what they or their groups are granted.

5. Unmount

fsit unmount ~/work
